Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern registration and participation in Féile Ceol na Locha. By registering for the summer school, participants (and parents/guardians where applicable) agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
2. Registration

All participants must complete the official registration process.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration is not confirmed until full payment (or agreed deposit) has been received.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse or cancel a registration at their discretion.
3. Age Requirements (Insurance Purposes):

Participants attending musical instrument classes must be 7 years of age or older on the day the classes begin.

There is no upper age limit for participation in the summer school.

Participants attending Óige na Locha classes must be at least 5 years of age on the day the classes begin and not older than 9 years of age.

Children under 5 years of age are not covered by insurance and are therefore not permitted to attend Óige na Locha classes. Birth Certificate or Passport must be provided as proof of age on Registration day (i.e. First day of the music school at Coláiste Muire).
4. Fees and Payment

All fees must be paid in full by the specified deadline.

Registration is online only. Exceptions may be made where online access to our website is not available.

Failure to pay may result in loss of place.
5. Cancellation And Refund Policies

Due to demand for limited places, we request that you cancel at least 30 days before the event.

This gives us the opportunity to fill the class and coordinate teacher resources.

If you must cancel your class:

Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund.

By making a reservation, you understand that you are holding a spot so reservations for this event are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend you understand that you can transfer to a friend and provide notice to Ceol Na Locha of the change.
6. Supervision of Children

All participants agree to abide by the Féile Ceol na Locha Code of Conduct available on our website.

Failure to comply may result in removal from the summer school without refund.
7. Child Protection and Safeguarding

Féile Ceol na Locha is committed to safeguarding children and young people.

All tutors and committee members in contact with children are Garda Vetted.

The summer school operates in accordance with Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (Tusla).
8. Health and Medical Information

Participants must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs at the time of registration.

The organisers will not be liable for issues arising from undisclosed medical information.
9. Photography and Media

Photographs and videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes.

Consent will be requested during registration.

Participants may opt out of media use where possible.
10. Liability

Participation is at the individual’s own risk.

The organisers are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
11. Programme Changes

The organisers reserve the right to alter the programme, tutors, venues, or schedule if necessary.

Ceol Na Locha is the controller of the personal data you submit to us and responsible for your personal data under applicable data protection law.

This includes name, postal and/or email address, telephone number and other contact information you provide on our online forms, at events or over the telephone. Such information is only collected from you if you voluntarily submit it to us.
If you make a donation or a purchase on our website you will be asked to provide your credit/debit card number, these details are stored in a secure database in compliance with PCI Data Security Standards and are transmitted directly to our payment providers Stripe.

Throughout this website, you may have the opportunity to send us information relating to you, by filling out volunteering forms, signing up to the mailing list, completing contact forms or buying tickets. By choosing to participate in this collection of information, you will be providing us with some level of personal details relating to you, however we will not use the information provided for purposes other than those for which it was sent.

Your data may be shared within Ceol Na Locha. We never pass on, sell or swap your data for marketing purposes to third. WordPress through the Formidable Forms Plug-in act as the personal data processor and processes the personal data on behalf of Ceol Na Locha. Data that is forwarded to third parties, is only used to provide you with our services.

The Ceol Na Locha website does not collect personal Information about you except information that you provide voluntarily. All our constituents’ personal information is treated confidentially, whether collected through this website or by other means. This information is stored securely.
The nature of the Internet is such that we cannot 100% guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via the Internet to be secure. However, once we receive your personal data we take all reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction and to prevent any unauthorised or unlawful disclosure or processing.
8. What is the legal ground for processing?
For every specific processing of personal data we collect from you we will inform you whether the provision of personal data is statutory or required to enter a contract and whether it is an obligation to provide the personal data and possible consequences if you choose not to.

Right to access:

Whenever Ceol Na Locha process your personal data by automated means based on your consent or based on an agreement you have the right to get a copy of your data transferred to you or to another party. This only includes the personal data you have submitted to us.

Right to complain with a supervisory Authority
If you consider Ceol Na Locha to have processed your personal data in an incorrect way you can contact us. You also have the right to turn in a complaint to a supervisory authority.

Ceol Na Locha may change this privacy policy from time to time. When such a change is made, we will post a revised version of this policy online. Changes will be effective from the point at which they are posted. This privacy policy was last reviewed in June 2026.
